Just finished building

So I just finished building my pc thank God and now I'm having a problem with my monitor. When i plug my hdmi cord to my motherbaord I go into bios but when I connect it to my gpu it says no signal on my monitor. I'm trying got figure out whether it's my pcie cord i made sure it was plugged in sell the way.
