Work advice
Hello, I am writing this post mainly so I could seek better alternatives than to dead scroll on Reddit during work to avoid stress.
I work as an equipment operator in a printing company, mainly with a milling or cutting machine. It is pretty monotone and repetitive, because of the way the machine does its job. I put a sheet of cardboard on the machine's surface, turn it on and let it do its thing, which takes a minute or even more, then I replace that done sheet with a new one and I repeat the process. So naturally it gets boring, so in order to kill time I decide to scroll through social media on the phone, mostly on Reddit.
I do this scrolling thing and consuming content just to kill boredom, sadly this app just loves and I mean loves to shove politics into my face every single time I turn on this app. I have major anxiety problems. low self-esteem, take everything personally and had anger management problems for my entire life. Because of constant stream of politics, fear mongering and people constantly hating on each other, I want to find other ways to kill time at work. Doesn't need to be even restricted with device or social medias, literally anything.
I would love to hear your feedback about this, because I really want to quit or atleast restrict to usage of this app (by restrict, I meant as just use to find solutions to problems when it comes gaming, hobbies and other day to day stuff).
Thank you in advance.
