Problems patching textured drywall

We had wall paper over textured drywall. Scraped it down and have done 3 passes on filling in the textured. For large sections this went great but the problem spots we just can't figure out why it won't smooth out. What are we doing wrong. I added the texture prework, the main area and some corners but I am confident the corner is just us not getting into the corner well​
