Car jumped backwards
Hello I am rather embarassed to be making this post but I am in need of advice. I was jumping my car the other day as I have done many a times when all the sudden the negative battery terminal on my car "exploded" and melted the terminal. I realized after this that I connected the leads wrong on the car I was using to jump mine. I've already replaced the battery but now here is my problem. The car will start and stay running but every single light on the dash is on and it says all systems are malfunctioning. I can't even take it out of gear, it's stuck in park. I've already replaced all fuses that were bad (there were like 4 blown fuses but the main 120amp one was still intact). I'm wandering if it's the alternator or computer that's fried but I wanted some advice before I fork over a lot of money and time installing new parts. It is a 2018 Toyota Corolla LE with a CVT.
Also, the car I used to jump mine, which I haven't had a chance to look at really, is now having minor electrical issues (have to press the lock button like 5 times to lock the doors) That car is 2016 Kia Sorento.
Any advice is extremely appreciated thank you ππ
