I asked ChatGPT to write a Reddit post for upvotes… it backfired.

So I had this genius idea: why struggle to be funny when AI can do it for me? I asked ChatGPT to write a post guaranteed to get upvotes. It spat out some clever, well-structured joke. I was convinced—I had cracked the Reddit code.

I hit "Post" and sat back, ready to bask in my internet fame.

Then… nothing. One upvote. Then zero. Then -4.

Panicked, I checked the comments. First reply? “This sounds like it was written by ChatGPT.”

The second? “OP is a bot.”

Now I’m here, humbled, manually typing this like a caveman, hoping a real human sees this and throws me an upvote.
