Itemizing an Estimate

I got a quote from an HVAC company to replace a 50 gallon 38000 BTU standard size water heater. The estimate did not break down parts or labor. $2200.00.

He did say the bladder and flex hoses should also be replaced. He offered a 6 year warranty on the heater itself, and said there was a $185 permit fee.

He said it would take 2 guys 5 hours to replace it. I wasn’t expecting it to be this high, although I know things have gotten expensive.

He said the flex hoses and bladder are $100. I saw water heaters for $750 at Home Depot with a better warranty.

So by my calculations the labor is $1100.0 plus or minus. Reasonable?
