Males or females? :) Please help.

Hello, we are new here. 🙂

My husband and I are thinking to maybe get chinchillas. I am a person who always plans everything until the smallest detail is correctly done because I want to do everything right. I have very high expectations and treat animals like small gods. 😄

Now we are talking about whether to get 2 males or 2 females, preferably siblings.

I heard that males can get "hairrings" around their penises which need to be cleaned at least monthly, if needed. That's no issue of course, but I wanted to ask the experienced experts here if there are other male/female related things we should know and think through. Or main differences between male and female chins in general.
