Any 20-21 year olds still feel like they’re stuck in covid times?

Hope this is ok to post, no worries if not. (Just wrote this out for Reddit to crash on me! Doh). Anyway, i have recently been receiving counselling (just things I want to nip in the bud) and I’ve realised that a huge part of me feels like I’m trapped in covid times, like I’m still 16.

I feel as though I never got any real closure from school, I didn’t have to best time but i think it would have been easier if we had a prom, results day or a proper send off… but instead it felt like the rug was ripped out from underneath and we had to spend months inside. I never received any support from any authority/ teacher figures afterwards, it’s like I never existed and we were just sent on our way.

I feel as though I struggle to make friends with people my age because I didn’t do a lot of socialising with them between 16-18, instead I now gravitate towards ‘older’ people as I was working full time by 17.

I just wanted to ask if anyone else has felt the same. It feels like a huge part of my formative years have stood still and I can’t quite move on from it.
