Questions relating to hinges

Hi! I am currently one in a polycule of three. I (TM 33) my partner (NB 36) and their partner (F 33) all live together and its generally good. I do have questions relating to hinges. Is it really normal for hinges to discuss the issues they are having with one partner with their other partner? I feel like it takes away from one partner's time with the hinge and makes it about the other person and it kind of feels icky but ive been told my feelings arent right on this and its incredibly common to do so as the hinges other partner knows them as well and would have good insight? Im just trying to sort out my expectations here in a reasonable manner because i do t want to isolate my hinge but im also a little bothered by how much time is spent discussing other partners during partner time.
