Is Calvin too close a name to Vincent?

I’m not pregnant but we’re hoping to be in the next year. My top pick for a boy is Calvin. It’s a family name, and I have such a hard time with boy names. It’s rare that I’m this excited about a boy name.

My brother has a two-year-old named Vincent. We often call him Vinny or Vin. It will be our future child’s only cousin. My brother and I are not close but my family is, and we all live close and see each other often.

It didn’t even occur to me that Vin/Vinny is also a nickname for Calvin. The obvious nickname to me is Cal.

Do I need to move on from the name Calvin, or is is really not a big deal?
