Need advice on trading one of my guitars

I have a PRS SE semi hollow that I love and would never sell. I also have a Gretsch full hollow body that is great to play, but ... to me, through my setup, it doesn't sound all that different to the PRS. Certainly nothing I can't compensate for with a little EQ. I mostly play jazz, blues and surf.

I now have the opportunity to trade the Gretsch against a synthesiser. Before I pull the trigger, is there something about the Gretsch that makes it worth keeping (other than how cool it looks), or is my assessment that it's not that different to the PRS accurate?
