Hyatt Regency Tahoe closing Lone Eagle Grille and beach on Thursday 2/27/25
I've been behind the door news wise since 2016, so am I the last to know that Oracle's Larry Ellison bought the Hyatt Regency Resort Hotel and Casino property in 2021? Wednesday will be the last hurrah for the Lone Eagle, its beach, and dock.0 Demo is slated to start Thursday.
I'm here now and have visited two or three times a year for 25+ years. We stay in the High Sierra Lodge timeshares next door. We used to go to the Lone Eagle quite often for meals, drinks, entertainment by musician Luke Stevenson, and the fabulous lobster bisque in the bar. The food has been meh to aarrgh for the last few years, so I can see why the building is closing, but tearing it down to build a Nobu seems strange. Surprised that the Tahoe Regional Planning Commission has approved this plan.
