What other fields can engineering technician skills transfer to?
I am currently an engineering technician. I can’t honestly say I do much engineering work, but I run tests on my companies products, create reports, provide feedback to engineers on prototypes.
I do know the basics of electronics, but I don’t think I could create a new circuit if I had to. Maybe just replace board components.
The tests I have done are somewhat based on an already established procedure so I don’t know everything about the system but I do use them. These tests include environmental/temperature/humidity testing, mechanical shock and radio frequency and EMI testing.
I know some about a lot of different things but nothing super deeply which worries me. What fields would be interested in my experience?
