[IMPORTANT] Staff and Defence Personnel on this subreddit

BLUF/TL;DR:

• All ADF Cadets Staff and ADF personnel on this subreddit hold responsibility for youth protection.
• Any suspicious conduct will be reported to child protection authorities and users will be permanently banned from the subreddit.
• If you are ADF Cadets Staff or ADF personnel, eliminate or minimise your interactions with cadets

From the Defence Youth Policy:

6.3.24 Adults in youth-related work positions are to keep social media contact with youth to official business only and limit on-line contact to groups and general announcements.

6.3.26 Defence and non-Defence personnel must not use social media to initiate contact with youth. This includes outside work, or voluntary roles such as babysitting, sports coaching, house-sitting, or tutoring.

Chapter 5: "Any instance of misconduct or misuse of social media must be reported immediately and investigated by the relevant Cadet organisation [...]"

There is zero tolerance for any misconduct. Report any user you find suspicious (e.g. DMing you and asking personal questions/being overly familiar) even if they claim to be another cadet.

You are welcome to ask any questions about this policy on this post.
