Getting bullied by my (22m) apprentice (50m)

My apprentice keeps getting on my nerves. I tried my best to reason with him but he keeps telling my foreman and other coworker I'm not teaching him but he keeps telling me that I'm doing a good job teaching if I ask him if he has anything he want me to assist with. He says no but when we are on front of others he says he doesn't know how to do anything because he's not being taught. He doesn't like to listen to me and keeps doing his way and then comes running over when foremans talking and keeps interrupting and telling him to see if I'm doing it correctly
