quicker way to draw automation curves in Live 12?

I might be misremembering, but I remember watching some videos on Live 12 a while back and there was a quicker way to write in an exact value on an automation point than right clicking and clicking edit value. Now that I have Live 12, I've tried to go back and find this info but I don't see anything about it anywhere. Is this a thing? Would be a big time saver as someone who automates frequently
