First Time Buying -- 2nd Swing free fitting with clubs with it?

I've played a few rounds of golf and been at ranges a few times and want to get more into golf. Pretty expensive to rent clubs at the courses near me so figured it'd be worth buying my first set of clubs, driver, etc.

2nd Swing offers free full bag fitting with purchase, and on the phone was told a full bag can range anywhere from $700-1.5k+. I have no idea what type of clubs I should buy, and thought sticking on the lower end could make more sense. Had also briefly looked at a Callaway Strata set but saw bad reviews from other reddit posts. Also saw good reviews for the Callaway Edge Set but at not much more for a fitting and recommended clubs thought 2nd swing might be better.

I live in DC so if anyone knows of better places in the area to get fitted and get a used/ new set around that $700 or under price point would love to hear it. Thank you for any advice 🙏
