Mamedica

My 100% Honest and Disappointing Experience with Mamedica

I have been a patient of Mamedica for over 18 months—long enough to see the truly awful side of this company. My most recent experience was so negative that I felt compelled to write this review.

Delivery to the Wrong Address
I recently moved from Kent to London and called Mamedica to update my address. A few days later, I rang them again to pay my invoice—using my existing credit to offset the total (which was at least £170). During this call, I double-checked that they had the correct address for delivery. I was assured everything was correct and that my medication would be shipped to my new location.

It wasn’t. Mamedica still sent my prescription to my old address, 100+ miles away. To make matters worse, Royal Mail—by law—can only hand over cannabis medication to the named recipient with photo ID. Somehow, it was still delivered to the wrong address. This caused me significant stress and financial loss, since Mamedica:

Refused to issue any refund.
Won’t provide a new prescription until I resolve the issue with Royal Mail and the police.
This is completely unfair and entirely their fault.

Repeated Issues with Product Quality
Over the past 18 months, I have spent more than £10,000 at Mamedica. In return, I’ve received mouldy weed on at least four separate occasions. Each time, they refused to offer a refund. By the time the fourth instance happened, I didn’t even bother asking for my money back because I knew their stance: once a product is delivered, there are no refunds, no matter what.

Lack of Accountability
When I confronted Mamedica about the recent delivery problem, they gave me multiple reasons why they:

Cannot contact Royal Mail about the mis delivery.
Will not take responsibility for sending the medication to the wrong address.
Refuse to provide any refund or compensation.
Despite their clear mistake, I ended up bearing all the consequences. To add insult to injury, they wouldn’t even let me speak to a manager.

Questionable “Medical” Service
Mamedica sells both a service (the “medical appointments”) and the product itself. In my experience, the appointments feel more like sales pitches than genuine healthcare consultations. When I see my NHS GP, I receive advice, follow-up plans, and appropriate medication. With Mamedica, I got pressure to buy cannabis products without any real discussion of my health condition or future treatment options. It’s off-putting and feels like they’re simply out to make a profit, rather than provide medical care.

Final Thoughts
I’m not a negative or bitter person, but my experience with Mamedica has been overwhelmingly disappointing. Poor service, refusal to take responsibility, no refunds for faulty products, and questionable ethics all add up to a company that prioritizes profit over patient care. If you’re seeking real medical support and advice, my sincere recommendation is to look elsewhere.
