Can you take 7 OH sublingual strips orally?

So I generally can't absorb sublingual strips well, so I have a sample WG sublingual 28mg +4.8mg pseudo strip that I wanted to take orally, maybe roll it into a ball and take with water. Would this work or would I be wasting it? Wouldn't it just digest the same way as oral, unless there is a special mechanism that only allows for sublingual administration?
