Car Engine blown and owe 18k still

What is the best option for getting out of this loan? The engine repair alone is 5-6 grand and GAP insurance doesn’t cover mechanical breakdown.

I thought about voluntary repossession, but you still would owe money on the vehicle regardless.

I’m at a loss here guys, what do I realistically do to rid myself of this car and loan?
