Is it normal to lose the ability to keep up with tech?

Context, early 30s, iPhone / Mac user. Has to use an iPad for work (but not in a technical role / way)

Had a real awakening recently that I have almost completely let technological/software updates to things like my phone and computer pass me by since covid. (I don't think covid is responsible just happens to be when I detached from tech).

I used to know absolutely every tip, trick, hack, key combo etc going. Used to be able to make my phone look and do exactly what I wanted it to. I was literally the go to person in my family to install operating systems, research which computers/phones to buy. Now, i've absolutely no idea what half the features are and am regularly being shown how to do things that I imagine I would've been right up to date with 10 years ago.

Perhaps this is actually because I got to the point where the tech did 'enough' for me that any further time spent trying to learn more was counter productive. I also think there is an element of tech no longer feeling exciting, but almost mandatory, which if anything is actively likely to make me rebel against using it. Yet, despite all this, I do feel that I probably *should* attempt to become a bit more familiar once again.
