To opt in or wait for EU5

As the title suggests. I'm a big Paradox fan, but maybe a little late to the game in that regard. My first was HoI4 and I've branched out from there. I really like the period for EU but I struggle to parse the UI and gameplay, and just get lost. Any tips or suggestions? Just push through until it clicks? Or should I wait for the EU5 roll out to jump on the wagon?
