I bought a breed and health test (thru Embark) for both of my rescue girls a few weeks ago and sent it back! I should be receiving the results back soon!

I’ve had Mataeya (Taeya) since 4/4/2020, I adopted her from a rescue in Texas and she had came in as a stray and was estimated to be 2-3 years old; I think she was definitely 3 because she started graying out only a couple years after I got her. My guess would be American Staffordshire Terrier mix! She was recently diagnosed with arthritis and a while before that, was diagnosed to be allergic to fleas so I’m curious what else the health test will tell us!

I’ve had Emersyn (Emmy) since 1/19/25, I adopted her from a shelter in Texas while she was on the EU list after coming in as a stray with mange and she then had to stay at a hospital for a few weeks before transport to continue her treatment (She was tagged by the same lady that ran the rescue I got Taeya from, SO thankful for her). She was estimated by the vet to be roughly 6 months old, my guess is she’s got bulldog or boxer in her because LOOK AT THAT UNDERBITE 🤣 Her head shape is also similar to those breeds. Emmy was really the whole reason for me getting these breed tests because Im SO curious, I’ve now had her for almost 2 months and she hasn’t grown at all.

The first pic is both of them a few days after Emmy arrived home (emmy left, taeya right)
The next 5 pics are of Taeya
The last 4 pics are of Emmy
I also included proof of their swabs processing thru Embark!

What’s everyone’s guesses before the results come back!
