Why does it feel like everyone around me is slacking?

I’m a musician and also work in hospitality.

I feel like I’m at the forefront when it comes to responding to my mixes I spend two hours writing notes so my projects can move quickly and productively. But then I wait seven months to get it back, along with an apology. I made a deal and deposited a large sum with a big artist for a beat, but they never delivered. It took six months just to get a refund. Most of my collaborations don’t feel reciprocal in energy I feel like I’m pestering people when they ghost me, even though their last message was that they’d “sort their shit out.”

When I work on my own projects, I’m very productive with the time I have. Out of all the artists I collaborate with, only two producers are amazing they work collaboratively and never let me down. The rest? Some say yes to working together but don’t even accept a deposit to secure the project, only to ghost me later. Then, when we do talk again, they act like nothing ever happened.

Even at work, I take the initiative to create all the cleaning tasks, but people do the bare minimum. I end up doing them every day, yet they can’t even restock properly at night, leaving me to deal with it the next day. Not to mention the incompetent management practices I have to put up with.

Aside from my wife, my daughter, and those two producers, everything feels like an uphill battle when I try to make progress. I put so much effort into funding proposals, attend seminars, and meticulously refine my applications only for them to be rejected again and again.

I’m starting to lose faith in my surroundings, guys. Help…
