Chapter 4 Should Have Been Delayed, and so Should Chapter 5 or potentially 6 If We Want the Best Possible Game

Discussion

Chapter 4 was genuinely cool in terms of story and atmosphere, but the technical issues really held it back a bit. The bugs and performance problems were frustrating, and while the patches they released later did improve things, it felt like the game needed more time in the oven before launch. Sure, you can go back and replay Chapter 4 now to experience the improvements, and it’s definitely better, but it’s just not the same as playing it for the first time with everything running smoothly.

I get that there’s pressure to deliver the game quickly, especially with how invested the fanbase is, but I’d much rather wait longer for a polished game than deal with a rushed one. Remember when Chapter 2 got delayed? The devs took their time to finalize it, and it turned out to be a masterpiece. The fanbase was very understanding and not angry because of the delay at that time. I think overall the community has a healthy interaction with the devs so I am sure no one will mind how long the next chapter will take if it means we will get a better overall game.

Poppy Playtime has such a unique and engaging lore. But technical issues can really break the immersion and pull players out of the experience. For Chapter 5 or 6 so, I really hope the team prioritizes quality over speed. I do not care if they would take 1 year, 3 years because I know that when the next chapter will come out it will be a masterpiece

So, devs, please take all the time you need. we will support you
