Can I get hired at a consultancy and get a work permit?

Hej everyone,

My work permit extension was rejected last year and I had to return to my home country (non-EU). I have been applying for jobs in Sweden ever since.

There is a chance that I might get hired at a Swedish consultancy. However, I was told by someone that migrationsverket routinely denies these types of consultancy contracts as employment and as a result will not grant me a work permit. But, I have seen posts in this community channel by non-EU people working at Swedish IT consultancies with valid work permits.

Can anybody with experience or knowledge in this regard, shed some light on the viability of getting a work permit? Any insights regarding the factors that Migrationsverket considers when evaluating consultancy contracts would be greatly appreciated.
