saying that kpop idols can never be "true artists" gives me peak racism.

I always hear this about kpop idols in general, and sometimes it feels like no matter what this idols do it would be never be good enough. Oh they write their own songs? too bad, the lyrics make mo sense. Oh they are involved in this album making process? Oh the album concept is horrible and it will never ever be good as western artists.

It reminds me of that saying how asian artists will have to work twice as hard as western artists to be taken seriously.

Does anyone feel this way too?
