RG405 & PS2
I like my woody, beefy 405V, but man does it struggle to play PS2. As my main retro handheld, I’m usually playing 32- or 16-bit stuff on it (Dragon’s Curse and Super Castlevania IV lately). But when I dip into my PS2 collection (~130 games), I’m almost always disappointed.
I found a Google doc with emulation recipes, and even then games stagger and stutter. Last night, Gran Turismo 4 ran like it had defective sparkplugs, and Devil May Cry 1 made me want to cry. The only game I remember working well was Maximo, which is relatively basic.
Maybe I’m using an outdated emulator, though Daijisho updates regularly. Should I download a separate one on Google Store? Or stick to GameCube and under on my 405V and save PS2 for my Steam Deck?
Feel pretty stupid taking time and sd card space for 130 PS2 games when most of them run like garbage.
