The world is in a turbulent phase. Political shifts, crises, and uncertainties shape our daily lives. The withdrawal of American politics from Europe and our shared democratic values may be concerning, but amidst these challenges, an unexpected strength emerges: Europe is more united than ever before.

It feels as if a sleeping giant has awakened – a continent that stands up for its principles, its people, and its rich culture. At last, we recognize that these values are not guaranteed; they must be defended and preserved. And that is exactly what is happening now.

First and foremost, I am proud to be European. My home country, Germany, has shaped me, but we have learned to be cautious with pride and patriotism. But today, things are different – we no longer stand alone. We are many, we are united, and I can dedicate my entire pride to this incredible community of diverse cultures, standing together for a strong Europe.

Our diversity is not a weakness, but our greatest strength. It is what makes us resilient, creative, and capable of overcoming any challenge.

Perhaps this darkness was necessary to wake us up. Perhaps this is the moment when Europe rises, stands together, and marches forward with determination.

Europe and all free democracies, united in will and purpose – together, we stand for freedom, justice, and a future we shape as one. ❤️🇪🇺🇺🇦🇨🇦
