Algorithms for trading app

So I'm building a trading app in python. It's not some of the trading bots you find which do some magic and predict the future price. My app scans the entire market everyday to find the best intra day traders. Currently it's only useful for intra day traders... Plan to update it shortly for swing and long term also.

So now I need some help of how I can train my software to identify such trends. I'm planning to classify certain trends as uptrend, super uptrend, sideways, downtrend, etc etc. and feed it to the software. Such that when a similar trend starts forming it just notifies me instantly. Can anyone just tell me which all parameters like rsi, change in rsi, macd.... Which all should I use??? Do you guys also feel this project would be useful for all intra day traders. (I'm currently doing my engineering and it would be a great project for my resume but I want it to be useful to all day traders)
