I'm stuck, please help

I've been building my partner's website in WordPress with Elementor and have, mostly, found my way around things. However, there is one thing I cannot figure out (and yes, I've asked various AI agents for help): how can I get rid of the drop shadows and how can I minimise the large spaces between some of the blog articles?
