Help! I want to appeal my UIUC decision to a new major.

I applied for CS initially, got denied, and realized that cs+education exists. I was stupid and I did not see CS+Education was an option earlier and I would have applied had I known it existed because it aligns much more with my ECs. I truly believe I have a shot. I am also really passionate about this major. How do I express this to the admissions dept. effectively, and what should I say my reason is over the phone?
