Radiculopathy

Any advice on evidence I should be accumulating to get my left leg radiculopathy increased? I’ve never seen a MD just basically live with the constant numbness/tingling/pain. They gave me gabapentin before for it but I hate taking medication. Of all my problems this is what bothers me the most. Do I go to an orthopedic dr or a neurosurgeon?

How is radiculopathy even rated? I’m 10% right now. Thanks for the help.
