Overweight acne-scarres dudes in here, how do you make new friends in uni?

Honestly I feel that people in uni outright reject me just because of my looks and I feel they do not give me a chance compared to people who are skinnier than me. This is extremly frustrating because I just wanna make friends man. Has anyone else also felt this happening to them or is it just me?
