Why Would a Guy Talk to Me Every Day for a Month with No Romantic Interest or Practical Reason?

So, I had this weird experience with a guy I used to talk to. We were ex-classmates but never really close. One day, we had a decent conversation, and after that he said" you're among the top members of my share list so posts will keep coming 😁Never mind" and , he just… kept sending me reels. Like every single day for four weeks straight. I never initiated ever , but I replied out of courtesy. I had friendzoned him on day 2 and asked we're buddies right and he said ya He wasn’t flirting, he wasn’t making any moves, and he even called me “sis” by day 12 after a while. We talked about random stuff—history, art, trauma, school—but I never asked for this daily interaction.he told me he wanted arrange marriage and no gf while still texting me everyday for no practical reason i thought cool a friend sharing life plans. He was sending reels to many people simultaneously including me. Like… okay? But why keep it going every single day?

At first, I assumed he was just a friendly guy, but his clinginess started to show. If I ignored him, he’d send passive-aggressive things like “Thanks for ignoring” or “Silly me.” Bro, you were the one running after me, why the attitude?

The weirdest part? There was no romantic interest (from either side) and no practical reason for him to keep talking to me like this. So what was he getting out of it? Emotional support? Boredom? Was he just a clingy friend who got attached?

I eventually cut it off, but looking back, it was one of the most bizarre dynamics I’ve had. Thoughts?
