how many of y’all know the name “agent smith” is actually a joke?

obviously when dj called the mercs “henry stickmin”, “bathroom sign guy”, and “poop”, they’re all obviously jokes because dj is like that.

but when he called him “agent smith”, that was also a joke, referring to the villain in the film “the matrix”. he even jokingly called herobrine agent smith when reacting to the king.

yet i’ve seen a portion of this fanbase run with this name which is funny asf.

have y’all known this the whole time and thought the name just fit, or had no idea of this at all?
