Eversource Energy Usage Unexpectedly Increasing

I just wanted to see if anyone else has been experiencing the same large increase in energy usage from Eversource but was unsure as to why. I was surprised by the massive increase in energy bills that I saw the past 2 months (for January and February billing periods, which ran from about December 10th, 2024 to February 10th 2025). I thought rates must have increased, but they did not and in fact it was my usage.

The chart attached is from Eversource and shows that my energy usage for the last 3 years has been highly correlated to the outside temperature. The higher the temperature, the more energy I use which makes sense because of air conditioning. But this winter has been an anomaly where that correlation broke down and my energy usage skyrocketed despite the colder temperatures.

Has anyone else seen the unexpected spike in usage these past few months?
