Hung up out of anxiety
Hi, I just wanted to vent this...yesterday, I received a call from a hospital for a front desk position. I had personally received a call from the head surgeon of the department, and he called me while I was asleep. My phone had woken me up. He asked if it were a good time, I agreed, and then he asked me what did I think that the role did (the role was a clinical customer service rep) and my mind went blank. I told him hold on one second, as I needed a moment to gather my bearings considering I didn't remember the position fully. It didn't have a description by the way, LOL, then I just hung up 😭😭 I sat there in silence and then I was washed with an INTENSE GUILT. I called back over 30 min later and asked his receptionist to leave him a message telling him I apologize and if he's still interested, he can give me a call...he didn't call back, understandably so. I just panicked and hung up. It's my fault on my end, and I usually don't do things like that, I typically just go with it. Pretty ashamed in myself since I haven't been getting lucky with interviews as of late. Just wanted to share 🤦🏾♀️
