Climate Change will devastate us

Hi guys I wanted to talk about a few posts I’ve been saying that is calling for Kerala to rapidly urbanise so that we can become economic powerhouses like some other states.

I’m here to warn against this - urbanisation is the worst thing we could do for our future. Trees protect us against shade and act as sponges for rainwater, so guess what? Without them our climate will become hotter and we will face increasingly worse flooding events. Concrete jungles that replace trees and kill our natural ecosystems will not help us!

Right now it’s already unbearably hot, and that’s not a new thing, it feels like it’s getting hotter each year. We must help protect our state by planting more trees, protecting our precious forests and mangroves and implementing renewable energy sources like solar. Doing all of this will help us too as climate change will become a problem so it’s best if we are prepared.
