Baki: Gotham’s Shadow

I saw a post recently asking who would win, Yujiro vs Batman. This got me thinking and my two neurons collided. Batman would make an awesome arc in Baki. Imagine Oliva is being debriefed on various cases of criminal cases happening around the world that are confusing law enforcement. He makes comments like “boring”, “ obviously the sheriff is in on it”, etc until they start to tell him about a case of suspected smuggling of illegal substances from Japan into the US.

Oliva would respond with “whats so unusual with this case for you to mention it to me?”

The other individual chimes in “ a full squad of highly trained soldiers were sent onto the boat only to find that the crew was tied up and restrained on the deck. It was the oddest thing, the entire crew was laughing uncontrollably, like they heard the most hilarious joke in the world. Soon after the soldiers themselves began to laugh themselves. The scene looked as if the crew and the soldiers had laughed themselves to death. The only evidence of what happened is the body came footage recovered from one of the bodies. But thats not the end of it. Some time after the soldiers had passed, the video shows the man we believe to be responsible for this incident. This man had peculiar attire, almost clown like. The man looked down into the camera and said one thing before disappearing. “ Batsy, batsy batsy. If you want to find me, come to Japan. There we will dance in the rain and laugh until the last drop”

Anyway this would lead to Oliva going back to Japan to pursue the Joker and running into Batman as well. We would get an epic fight between Batman and Oliva only for them to respect each other. Throughout this arc there would be a Jack v Batman fight with Jack being equated to Bane. Another fun one would be a robin vs Baki fight and maybe a Shibukawa vs batmobile encounter. Basically the batmobile racing straight at him and Shibukawa does some Aiki bullshido to throw the batmobile through the air only for it to land normally and keep going on its way. Batman would be confused af and Shibukawa would keep going on his way with a grin on his face and giving a slight chuckle.

Let me know if I am cooking. I think its an interesting idea with a lot of potential for character parallels and just stupid fun interactions.
