Missiles question (noob)

Hello everyone. Quick question: if my NPC pilots use rockets - do they refill ammunition themselves or do I have to swap it every time? Right now my economy is pretty weak, that's why I'm wondering. P.S. Never used rockets on player NPC ships since X2 :/
