Fiancé to Spouse Visa - Children Question

Hi

My (now) wife, entered the UK on a fiancé visa, we married last month and are in the process of applying for the FLR(M) spouse visa.

The wording on the online form for applying inside the UK goes into a LOT more depth about my wife's children (Do you have any children of 18 years old or younger?). She has one child from a previous relationship (not married). This child is not applying for a visa.

The form asks for all of the details about said child, including parental responsibilities.

Whilst listed on the birth certificate and still in contact with the child, the other parent has no interest in supporting my wife's life in the UK. The child lives with my wife's parents 95% of the time with the occasional visit to her father.

There is a question titled "<child's> other parent", which gives options of:

- The sponsor of the visa application

- Sole responsibility of the child

- I do not know

- Deceased parent not yet mentioned on this application

- Other

If I say "other" it prompts us to supply a name, address and proof of address of the other parent, including things such as a utility bills. This just isn't possible.

There is also no custody agreement or anything like that, it has all been done verbally. Were there an issue it would be taken up with local leaders.

I think the answer I need to select is either sole responsibility (although we then need to supply a birth certificate, which will have the fathers name on) or I do not know (also asks for a birth certificate which lists the father).

Question 1: How should we answer this question?

Second, I posted previously about a child my wife was unaware she had been put down as parent for. We have done everything we can do to get this changed, however it needs my wife to go to a government building in her home country and sign a final form, there will then be a 6 month period and the change will be made. We cannot do this any time soon.

Given this question is now about "non-applying children" and not "dependant children", she is still technically listed as this child's parent (although she has no responsibility for this child).

Question 2: Do we need to list this second child?
