2/4 wisdom teeth removed yesterday
Good Morning! I am female, 28 194lbs decent health, other than PCOS there's not much currently wrong with me (though cancer history and few other things). I went in for removal of 3 wisdom teeth yesterday. I was under IV sedation, they got two done. On the same side, but stopped before getting the last one because they said I was hyperventilating. I don't remember most of it. I do remember snorting because of the gauze placement and not being able to stop even though they kept asking me to calm down. They said I had to calm down or I would have to stay which I guess I understand, but at the time just made me panic more. (I have strong anxiety with anything more than cleanings. I do get nervous for them but I can get through without any assistance.) I wanted my husband, but they couldn't understand what I was saying so I pointed to my wedding ring and tried to get them to understand but they asked me if he was a bad husband instead. I have to go back to get the last one removed because that's the one that has a cavity and large hole, and previously got an infection) I'm also really not looking forward to paying for all this again. It was $950 out of pocket for the sedation (they said they'll give back whatever insurance doesn't cover) and idk if any of that will carry over for the next one.
I guess I'm mostly just trying to understand and if this is normal, should I ask for stronger meds first? A friend went for them previously and they had Valium or something before hand. But that was almost 10 years ago so idk if that's still done.
