Any thoughts on Minolta xd7 and Yashica fx-d?

Which is better: Minolta xd7 or Yashica fx-d? Hello! I'm new to film cameras and would like some help in deciding which one to buy as I got confused reading reviews.

I tried using the Kodak M35(a gift from a friend) and I am not happy with the photos above :( i always end up having few of the shots ok and the rest of them blank :( I don't know if I am doing something wrong.

Now I am planning to invest on a good camera so my films won't go to waste.
