Changing Jobs from psych to IT

Hello new here,

I am wanting to change careers to IT. I know computer basics and such, though I know the market is hard right now. What certs should I get to make myself look more appealing? I was thinking of going back to school for an AA in IT but I am unsure if that is wise. Would just getting a few certs via google be better? Thank you!
