Has anyone tried intermediate pipe + resonated mid pip + stock exhaust?

I'm perplexed. I love the sound clips of the intermediate pipe + stock catback. But I also want to kill the low-RPM stock drone.

Will adding a resonanted mid/pipe kill the extra volume of the I-Pipe?
