DDR5-6200/6400/faster with AMD Ryzen 7700X and ASRock X670E Pro RS?

Help (General)

I have AMD Ryzen 7 7700X on ASRock X670E Pro RS motherboard. Currently, I'm using G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB (F5-6000J3038F16G) RAM (2x16GB CL30 6000Hz) with EXPO profile.

I'm thinking about switching my RAM to 2x32GB for a total of 64GB. I want to go with two new sticks as adding two additional ones would most likely lead to performance degradation. But since I'm buying new sticks, I could go with faster memory.

But I don't know if it would it unproblematic. On the Ryzen 7700X page, memory support is listed as:

  • 2×1R (Single-Rank) Modules: DDR5-5200
  • 2×2R (Dual-Rank) Modules: DDR5-5200
  • 4×1R Modules: DDR5-3600
  • 4×2R Modules: DDR5-3600

But on the ASRock X670E Pro RS, in the memory compatibility section, there are many memory kits listed, some 6000, 6400, even even above 7000. People on the Internet write that the CPU may not work well with faster RAM and it is a lottery.

Is there any way to find out whether faster RAM (6200 or 6400) will work fine on my particular system before buying it?
