Thoughts on the glyth puzzles?
What's everyone's thoughts on the glyth puzzles? The sodoku ones. You are tasked to scan for missing glyths, then to complete the puzzle, you insert the glyths without any duplicates in a row or column.
Me personally, I think they were implemented poorly. While I don't actually mind the puzzles in itself. Scanning for the glyths is meaningless. It adds nothing interesting to the gameplay, and just feels like busy work to waste your time. Then if that's not bad enough. When you make a mistake it backs you out the terminal, requiring you to load back in again, resetting your progress. Rather then just say it's incorrect, then allow you to fix the mistake.
If it let you do the puzzle without scanning for the glyths, and didn't back out each time you make a mistake, then I would be completely fine with the puzzle. However, with how they are it feels like they are there for no other reason then to waste your time. There is so many of these things aswell. Plus they are mandatory, and can't be skipped. Everytime I see one, it's frustrating cos it completely ruins the flow of gameplay, slowing you down to a complete halt.
