According to NFL Analysts, Daniel Jeremiah-- "everyone thinks DK is going to the New England Patriots." https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25167900-dk-metcalf-trade-rumors-everybody-nfl-thinks-patriots-land-seahawks-star-wr

The Seahawks’ QB situation is completely uncertain after trading Geno Smith. If they can’t find a long-term QB in the 2025, then having two first-round picks in 2026 is a great insurance in securing a true franchise quarterback, with next year being a stronger draft class.

Why this could be a good trade for the Seahawks;

Ideal Hypothetical Trade Scenario with New England

Seahawks Receive (Patriots) :

2025 3rd-round pick

2026 1st-round pick

Patriots Receive:

WR DK Metcalf

2025 5th-round pick

Why This Strategy is good for Seattle;

2026 QB class is stronger – Instead of forcing a pick in 2025.

Patriots are a risky bet – Even with Metcalf, they don’t have a proven franchise QB. If they finish bottom 5 in 2025, their 2026 1st-rounder becomes gold putting the Seahawks in prime position to draft a franchise QB.

Seattle would have flexibility – If they land A top pick in 2026, they could either:

Draft Arch Manning (or another elite prospect QB)

Obviously A Quarterback is an absolute must this 2025 off season.. But, if it doesn't work out like expected, you have another chance in the 2026 draft to find a Quarterback.

What does everyone think? What are the chances of finding a new long-term franchise QB in 2025 vs 2026?
