Freedom from IF
During the pandemic, I learned about intermittent fasting and started researching all about it, listening to podcasts, etc., and decided I would give it a try! I started with 16 eight and started expanding that time as I got better at it. I then started to plateau and did alternate day fasting and I lost a bunch of weight and felt amazing. Overtime that got increasingly harder to do and I started to gain the weight back. For years now, I felt that if I stopped in a fasting, I would gain even more weight so every day was me obsessing over how quickly I could eat and get my timer started so I could eat earlier the next day and constantly trying to push back my window and not eat. Overtime this got exhausting and I wasn’t getting any results from it. Since I started my first dose, I have essentially stopped intermittent fasting and I’m just focusing on protein and a calorie deficit and I feel a freedom that I haven’t felt in years. If I want a snack at 10 o’clock, I don’t have to worry about that pushing my timer back the next day. I can just eat when I want as long as it’s within my calorie intake. I feel so much more at peace. Anyone else have a similar intermittent fasting journey?
